Bio: My name is James Paick. Born and raised in Southern California. I am currently a concept artist for game development, working out of Los Angeles, CA. I am a graduate of Art Center College of Design, majoring in Illustration with an Entertainment Design focus in late 04. My previous experience is in working under a talented creative director for print advertising in gaming and feature film. Working heavily as an illustrator, doing key art for games like GOW, NFS, Just Cause, Rachet and Clank, and Beowulf. Shortly after, I made my way into working as a conceptual artist mainly for games with NC Soft, Liquid Entertainment, EA, Sucker Punch, and Zipper. I am currently working as a freelance illustrator and concept designer. I am also putting together a personal project that takes up most of my spare time, unless I’m not underneath my car.

Racing and auto sports is also a huge hobby that takes up most of my weekends. Art finds its way into most parts of my life whether personal or business. Having a good balance of life, family and fun are important to me. Too much of one always seems to sacrifice in another. My future is geared in the right direction.

I want to hopefully lead a team of artists in the creation of new and unique IPs and eventually want to open my own design house.
